Contemporary Curb Appeal
This family wanted a new modern home in an upscale community. They wanted to have a modern feel to their home which needed a first impression to fit the contemporary vibe.

For this design, we enhanced the walkway by offsetting the patterns and layout to create a modern feel. The materials were also expanded across the driveway for decorative bands. The planting design used some simple mass plantings with pops of color and some specimen small trees.

Our Design Approach
Step 1) Layout walkway
The first step to this project was to layout the offset walkway and the paver patterns that went with this layout. This included steps to the front door along with a small porch seating area.
Step 2) Choose the Materials
We selected some contrasting unilock pavers in grey and black. These pavers fit perfectly with the contrasting colors of the house, roof, windows and door. The paver sizes also contrasted between large slabs in the middle with smaller darker borders.
Step 3) Planting Design
We chose to use dwarf grasses along with boxwood greenery as the foundation of the planting design and then we added a specimen sweetbay magnolia and grafted rose of sharon tree.
